Safe House Court is a wallflower of a place with straightforward rooms in a U-shaped apartment-style building. Repeat visitors come mainly for the predictably clean rooms, the competent, business-like staff and the monthly rates that give longevity to ailing budgets.

While the name may conjure images of political intrigue, Safe House Court is a somnambulant repository for visitors who don't want a backpacker 'scene'. Rooms occupy several floors of a no-nonsense apartment building with an interior, unadorned courtyard. Rooms in the front soak up some street noise while those in the back wake up to chanting and bell-ringing by the monks next door. The rooms on the building's northern side are recently renovated and sport spiffy new bathroom tiles. The daily rates are standard budget tariffs but the monthly rates (plus utilities) deliver mod-cons at cut-rate prices.
