If you're the kind of traveler who wants to come home to a leopard-print robe and companion-for-your-stay goldfish after a hard day of sightseeing, the whimsical Hotel Monaco stands ready to accommodate your needs.

Curvaceous couches offset bold moss green and white-stripe wallpaper and raspberry color window seats. In the "Party Like a Rock Star" suite, a permanently suspended TV appears to have already been "thrown" halfway through the window. This colorful Kimpton Hotels property is nothing if not fun. The same company also owns Hotel Burnham and Hotel Allegro, and like those properties, Monaco pours a free wine happy hour each night. Here it's sometimes accompanied by free chair massages and tarot card readings. CD players and yoga accoutrements are available in-room so you (and your goldfish) can downward dog while on the road. Service is high-class but not haughty. Indeed, the staff are some of the friendliest and most approachable we've met. Free wireless internet access is available throughout the building. A 24-hour fitness room and business center round out the offerings.
