Address: Great negril morass , Negril po box 2856 neg, Jamaica Show on map
A chilled vibe pervades the Chippewa Village Hotel, on the Grand Morass side of Norman Manley Boulevard and a five-minute walk to the beach. The Southwest motif might sound odd yet it works in an offbeat manner consistent with Negril's hippie heritage. This cheerful choice offers three octagonal studio units with screened porches and lofty ceilings and six one- to three-bedroom apartments. They are all rustic, rough-hewn affairs oozing a warm ambience, epitomized by American Southwest decor, throw rugs and tasteful fabrics. A small swimming pool under a shade canopy is inset in a wooden sundeck. There's a small restaurant and bar, with American home cooking (for guests only), plus a Jacuzzi, steam room and a viewing tower overlooking the Great Morass. Wireless internet can be accessed from some of the rooms.

Negril offers some of the best scuba diving in the Caribbean. Sands Club Reef lies in 10m (32ft) of water in the middle of Long Bay. From here, a drift dive to Shark's Reef leads through tunnels and overhangs with huge sponges and gorgonian corals. Further along, the Throne is a 15m- (50ft)wide cave with massive sponges, soft corals, nurse sharks, octopuses, barracuda and stingrays.
