Address: Nyhavn 71 , Copenhagen 1051, Denmark Show on map
Originally a canalside warehouse from 1804, this hotel maintains much of its original character through its cobbled entrance, exposed wooden beams and whitewashed brick walls. It's cosy, full of charm and in an excellent location.Enter into one of Copenhagen's most atmospheric hotels. Candlelit and comfortable, the lobby emanates a warm glow, brightened by colourful abstract paintings. Rooms are furnished with fairly standard but tasteful fare, with more exposed beams and original cubbyhole windows. Superior rooms have big windows and amazing views of the harbour. Executive rooms are in the newer building which was built in 2001, but they lack the character of the older rooms. Downstairs, the bar and restaurant look as if they're housed in one-time market stalls; you'll feel transported back in time. Staff are efficient and friendly.
