Oh-so French, the Phoenix will more than satisfy anyone looking for a fancy night's stay, especially if you've got a thing for Louis XIV. Very well maintained and overseen by a diligent, discreet staff, this place oozes opulence.

Ornate statues, marble floors, crystal chandeliers and a bubbling fountain await you in the lobby. Even the guys behind the desk look French. Rooms are decorated with gold-trimmed furnishings, heavy curtains and sumptuous beds. They're spacious (especially if you get the executive size) and have divine looking tubs. French prints adorn the white walls. The atmosphere here is formal, busy and fairly hush-hush. If you're really after peace and quiet, ask for a room facing the courtyard rather than the busy street. There are excellent business facilities and you're only a few steps from the city's financial district. When you've had enough work, there's a peaceful sun terrace for lounging.
