If you're not intent on surrounding yourself with fancy Danish design but just want somewhere clean and relatively comfortable to lie your head, Cab Inn may be your hotel in shining armour. And it's close to the action.

With over 350 rooms, nobody would claim this place was intimate. Hallways are so repetitive you feel like you're in a house of mirrors and rooms are compact to say the least. However, everything is modern and very well maintained, making it something akin to a luxury hostel. There are no dorms and each room has a TV, a kettle and a private, tiny bathroom. Rooms are taken straight off a cruise ship; thankfully there's a window rather than a porthole. Standards have two bunks and a third that slides out onto the floor, commodores are slightly bigger again. Head downstairs to the ultra-modern chrome lobby for a coffee or a beer, or take it out onto the patio. The hotel is nonsmoking and has excellent wheelchair access.
