Finally somebody opened a proper pension in Moscow. It's a modest place, offering private rooms that are simple and sweet - Ikea beds, posters on the wall and windows overlooking a shady courtyard.

Catering to travellers without deep pockets, the Kita Inn has found a niche in Moscow. If you have outgrown dorm-style sleeping, but still have a limited budget, this is one of your few options in the capital. Three private double rooms share access to a small, remodelled kitchen and a brand new bathroom. It's not at all fancy but it does allow guests a bit of privacy. Amenities include laundry, internet, etc. The Kita is central and convenient to the metro, and the management is helpful and happy, but don't be fooled by the 'bed & breakfast' description. This is not a rustic, romantic getaway, but an affordable and austere option. The owner has a few flats in the neighbourhood all offering similar facilities, so if the Kita Inn is booked out there should be an alternative.
