Simply put, this place rocks. For adventurous types who want the best of Vegas' urban jungle and its vast desert outdoor playground, Station Casinos' bold, contemporary Red Rock resort is a stylish choice. The only drawback is the drive to the Strip, which takes 30 minutes or more.

Built for a suburban crowd, Red Rock is a surprisingly glam spot. So much so that the casino hotel recently cameoed in the Kevin Spacey flick 21. Just be forewarned about the 20.00/day resort fee tacked onto all rates. Sleek, modern rooms with plasma-screen TVs, stereos with MP3 player jacks and luxurious beds with 'ooh-la-la' linens are perfect after a hard day at play in the great outdoors, or a bleary-eyed night at the poker tables and clubs. Head to the 35,000-sq-ft spa for an exotic specialty massage or moisturizing body scrub. The 'adventure' spa offers all kinds of sweat-inducing activities, from indoor rock climbing to kayaking trips outside the city. Families enjoy the bowling center, cineplex and child-care services. Hungry? Try succulent Salt Lick BBQ, imported straight from Driftwood, Texas.
