Location. On a cliff overlooking the Andaman Sea, the Blue Marine Resort and Spa is located in Kathu, Phuket, Thailand. The resort is within one kilometer of Patong Beach and Kalim Beach. Phuket Town is 15 kilometers away. <br>Hotel Features. Set among the tropical forests of Kathu, the resort takes advantage of its proximity to nature. The Deep Andaman restaurant offers terrace dining, fresh seafood daily and views of the sea. The Blue Pacific Coffee Shop and By the C Café offer additional dining options. Two outdoor pools feature infinity edges and sea views. The on-site Submarine Spa offers Thai massages, facial treatments and manicures. A fitness center with free weights and cardiovascular equipment is available. <br><br>Guestrooms. The resort features 77 guestrooms decorated with soft colors, polished cement walls and traditional Thai furnishings. Each guestroom features a private balcony with a view of the sea. Bathrooms have modern bowl sinks and a separate shower and bathtub. Refrigerators are included in each room. <br><br>Expert Tip. Kalim Beach, one kilometer from the resort, is known for its extensive coral reefs. When the tide is low, the coral reefs can be explored on foot, revealing crustaceans and small fish.
Renovation Notice:<br>
The resort will embark on an expansion project October 5, 2007 – June 30, 2009. Construction work will be done daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The resort will be fully operational throughout this period. Construction schedule subject to change.
36 Royal rooms and guest walkways are completed, with another building housing 33 Royal rooms scheduled to be finished on April 15, 2009.
Remaining four buildings housing 78 Royal Seaview rooms, 28 Royal Honeymoon rooms, and 8 Family Suites will be completed May 30, 2009.
Six private pool villas and the hotel spa will be finished June 30, 2009.
Lobby renovation is scheduled to finish on April 15, 2009.
