The Grande Albergo Mediterraneo is a deluxe hotel situated 10 kilometers from Capodichino Airport. Less than half a kilometer from the hotel are some of the finest tourist attractions in Naples. The Via Roma Shopping center, the elegant streets of Via Chiaia and Via Filangieri, the Galleria Umberto, the Opera House and the Royal Palace are within 500 meters from the hotel. Guests at the hotel can leisurely walk to the harbor where hydrofoils and ferries leave for all the resorts in the Gulf of Naples. <br> The Grande Albergo Mediterraneo overlooks the Gulf of Naples and some of the most picturesque sites of the city such as Mount Vesuvius, the San Martino Museum and the monastery on top of the hill. Statues by some of Italy's fine artists decorate the hallways and the lobby. Most the rooms have views of the bay and the city. Décor in each room varies, though a modern theme is maintained throughout. The hotel has two breakfast rooms, one on the first floor and the other on the top floor.
