Forget that this design hotel is on a busy avenue and instead enjoy the views across Barcelona from the rooftop pool lounges and the magnificent, spacious rooms decorated with finesse and maximum comfort.
This grand corner block has a vaguely New York air about its structure. With sound-proofed rooms not smaller than 21 sq metres, this design hotel is a great pick. Rooms are stylishly decorated, with high ceilings, muted colours (beiges, browns and creams), dark timber floors and subtle lighting. LCD TVs and MP3 players are standard. In spite of the hotel's efforts, traffic noise can be bothersome, so the higher you are the better. The pool on the roof is perfect for relaxing after a hard day doing the nearby sights - Via Laietana separates the Barri Gòtic from La Ribera so there's plenty of sightseeing to be done on your doorstep.
