Close to the Creek and right in the heart of the souq action, the Pacific's rooms have balconies where you can ogle the street action. The facilities aren't much, but the management is friendly.The best things about the Pacific are its location near the Creek and its balconies overlooking the neon-lit hordes roaming the souqs below. Alas, the lobby is dumpy - expect to see an Indian man napping on the sofa - and rooms are run-down, but they're clean. The paper-thin sheets are scratchy; we recommend you bring your own pillow case. Friendly management makes up for the shortcomings, as does the wall-mounted satellite television. Note: it's tricky to find the entrance, especially if you're coming from the Gold Souq, where the sign is in Arabic only. If you're arriving in the afternoon, look for the crowds gathered at the shawarma restaurant on the corner.
