Orthopedic mattresses, individual lockers, British fire alarms and yes, an actual tree house - with a postcard-perfect view of Volcán Villarrica - give this newcomer a leg up in Pucón's hostel market.

The new kid on the block is a co-British/Chilean tagteam, both of whom are tour leaders for English-based outfitter Journey Latin America. Snuggle-friendly comforters make the beds in the seven rooms difficult to emerge from. The down-to-earth vibe skews vaguely Jack Johnson, encouraging deep relaxation in the three hammocks. Speaking of hammocks, there are ample opportunities to snuggle with Cortito, the resident dog; or you can escape with him into the actual tree house, built solely to offer that perfect view of Volcán Villarrica.
