Welcome to West House Hostel. We are an excellent family run hostel located in the beautiful fishing village of Ullapool.
The hostel has recently been awarded 4 stars by the Scottish Tourist Board Quality Assurance Scheme
The hostel has wonderful views from all rooms,central heating, drying room, cheap internet access,en-suite rooms, double rooms, fantastic kitchen., no curfew, bike hire(discounts for residents), Lounge with tv/dvd/video multi fuel stove.
Every hostel owner/manager thinks they have the best hostel but here is what Lonely planet said about us in 2006:-' This is a brilliant place to stay and one of the best backpackers in Northern Scotland, small spacious dorms( some en-suite) have comfy bunks and doubles have tv and hot drink facilities. It's clean, well run and very friendly- the owner has the right attitude'
Apart from being one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland Ullapool has a vibrant music scene with bands and traditional music most nights throughout the summer season, it also has two large music festivals, www.ullapoolguitarfestival.com (October) and www.Loopallu.co.uk (September)
