Jacobs is just around the corner from its sister hostel Isaacs and offers clean, modern, en suite accommodation and excellent facilities, including a disabled access room. There's also a bureau de change, bike storage and a self-catering kitchen as well as a small deli counter where you can get sandwiches.Hostel accommodation just isn't what it used to be. Flat screen TVs in every room, en suite bathrooms with permanent hot water and in-room safes for all your valuables speak volumes about the levels of comfort that even the hardiest backpacker is getting used to. And, just in case you needed a little extra, the recently added Superior Wing (a hostel with wings? What's next: valet service?) has superbly appointed doubles, triples and quads that make an absolute mockery of the 'roughing it' experience. Are we complaining? Not in the least - we're just looking forward to movie night (Wednesdays and Sundays) in the flop-down comfy lounge (complete with huge leather couches), which comes with free popcorn.
