The Maritim is a light, airy and quite informal place, with a sushi restaurant positioned in front of the tall glass windows of the lobby. A few modern oil paintings on the walls (they're for sale) give the place a bit of character. There's also a coffee shop/bar with a pianist in the evenings.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are the same size in all categories, and decorated in fresh pastel colours. Those in the Superior category feature a free minibar and the use of a VIP lounge on the 7th floor, with tea, coffee and snacks laid on all day and a great view of the skyline at sunset. The pool on the top floor is disappointingly small, but the attached wellness centre offers such delights as hot stone massage, perfect for stressed-out execs who need to unwind after a hard day's networking. The hotel is housed in a squat, shining tower perfectly located within the Messe complex, the venue for conferences and trade fairs. The downside of this location is that there's not much in the way of eating options close by - but the hotel itself has three restaurants to choose from.
