At the northern end of the beach, this is a casual place with rambling grounds. The bar and restaurant area are on decks above the beach, and the pool and pleasant wooden bungalows with private balconies overlook the cape.

Laid-back almost to the point of inertia, the 70 rooms of this lush, green and somewhat tatty property sprawl several hundred metres across the hillside with views of water and/or trees in all directions. The stand-alone bungalows are cool and spacious and mostly well-maintained, though you'd want to be as far from the generator as possible. The cheaper terraced rooms are sizeable but shared floorboards act like a trampoline, and vibrations ricochet along the floor whenever anyone moves. Smiling staff and the pleasantly casual atmosphere extends (sometimes not so pleasantly) to housekeeping; you might want to check the state of the sheets before you slide into them.
