Lonely Planet review

This giant sleek überhotel towers over the comings and goings in the new Kamppi Square. It stands out with its bright white corporate lines and sheets of anti-reflective glass, and offers the latest comforts at executive prices.

This hotel feels like a symbol of Finland's transformation from rural backwater to significant corporate player. The cool glassy lobby exhibits all the features one expects of a country with such innovative designers and architects. Also, the public areas sport modish couches and grand perspectives, while the air-conditioned rooms are all shiny and new, with particularly comfortable beds. As usual with modern business hotels, there are slightly different classes of rooms; some even have a sauna for no extra cost, so it's worth requesting one of these on the off chance. It's also worth asking for a room with a good view - some rooms have excellent outlooks.
