Vying for the title of most seriously hip resort in all of Belize is this one, way up north on the north island. People come all this way just to eat at the excellent restaurant, but if you decide to stay for a few days you may never leave.
Accommodations are in cabins - from simple one-room ones to larger, elevated three-roomers, comprising two master bedrooms and a kitchenette/lounge area. Each of the master bedrooms has a wonderful screened porch area with hammocks - a great place to catch an afternoon breeze. The cabins, restaurant, lobby area and bar are all designed in an elegant, eclectic manner - most spaces are individually decorated and reflect the owner's excellent personal style. This is not a cheesy resort. Although popular with honeymooners and couples on one-week getaways, even when it's full (with a capacity of 38), the place has a warm and intimate charm.
