In a word: luxury. With a goose-down comforter on your bed, a stack of shiny apples on the dresser and 'Ahava' (Love) beauty products in the bathroom, the David Citadel doesn't miss a beat in its quest for five-star excellence. Throw in a great location in the New City and top-notch amenities, and you'll have every wish catered for.
The luxurious lobby of the David Citadel is a popular meeting place for Israeli hobnobbers who come to enjoy one of three restaurants. The menu at the main restaurant changes each night, and you might find Italian, BBQ or Japanese. We were most impressed with Cybex, the professional fitness centre that includes all manner of weight machines, free weights, treadmills, a steam room and sauna. The icing on the cake is the narrow extension from the pool that connects to the changing room so that you can plunge in without having to expose yourself to the elements. Rooms are picture perfect and all of high quality; the deluxe rooms are slightly larger and have a better view.
