The Litinterp formula works as well in Kaunas as it does in Vilnius - brilliantly. Much like the Soviets once did, they have managed to make all their properties look identical down to the last light switch. But unlike the Soviets - and unlike many budget hotels - their identical stuff always works.

Fans of Litinterp envision a perfect world with little Litinterps scattered everywhere, but it's not for everyone. At night you return to a dark courtyard. It brightens as you walk into it, but reception closes fairly early so you'll be all alone. You probably have nothing to fear, but if you're worried about that sort of thing it might be worth shelling out extra for a hotel with 24-hour reception. If you're not worried about that sort of thing, however, you've found budget paradise, my friend. Breakfast delivered to your room the next morning only confirms that assessment. One of the top budget deals in town, you can't go wrong here. What's more, if they're full they'll find you a cheap b&b in a private home.
