Sick of bland chain hotels but looking for five-star facilities? These serviced apartments could be just the answer you're looking for. A top location and traveller-friendly facilities make this a perennial favourite with visiting embassy staff and international travellers alike.

These smart serviced apartments, featuring all mod cons and maid service, are located, rather handily, on the opposite side of the square from the airport minibus terminus and at the heart of Av Arce's embassy district, offering a great location and superb transport links. The suites come in four generous sizes, ranging from the 'standard junior' (large by anyone's standards) to the grand-sounding 'ambassador' (seemingly just a fraction smaller than Paraguay). All are fully equipped with a separate dining room and kitchenette, and are cleaned on a daily basis. On the ground floor there are two catering outlets: The Oak, a British-style bar with a nightly happy hour; and Duke's Restaurant, an international-standard eatery with a daily-rotating menu of specialities and huge weekend brunches.
