Private elevators whisk guests away to exclusive rooms on Mandalay Bay's 35th through to 39th floors. This blissful nongaming resort is a pampering retreat from the relentless ding-ding-ding of casino slot machines. A full-service spa, workout room, garden pool, 24-hour business center and concierge coddling seal the deal.

Staying here is a lot like visiting the other Four Seasons' hotels around the world - which is an amazing feat, considering it's inside one of the Strip's busiest megaresorts, Mandalay Bay. A self-selecting clientele, heavy on business executives and upwardly mobile families, treasures the privacy and services of this posh hotel-within-a-hotel at the southern end of the Strip. Check-in lines are mercifully short, compared with casino hotels. Rooms may have ho-hum decor, but they measure over 800 sq ft and sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the Mojave Desert and mountains. Amenities for kids include milk and cookies, board games and PlayStation. The hotel has only two restaurants, notably Verandah, a swank lounge serving a tropically inspired menu of bar appetizers and decadent desserts.
