Development has turned the fishing village of Xlendi into a popular resort town. Sure, it's busier now, but there's no denying that the bay is still beautiful. This guesthouse is perfectly located - close enough to the harbourfront hustle and bustle when you want it, far enough away to allow a relaxing holiday. The marvellously affordable rates get you one of 13 rooms - all large, bright and spotless, decked out in chunky pine furniture (double or twin beds) and floral prints. Surprisingly (given the price), air-con, cable TV, big private bathrooms and balconies/terraces are standard, and there's a garden, swimming pool and kiddies' pool. For optimum views, request a pool-facing room on the first floor (or you can make use of the huge communal first-floor terrace). Other communal areas include a lounge, and a breakfast room where tea and coffee facilities are available all day. The accommodating owners can help arrange transfers, car hire and various extras. This place does affordability in style.
