Five minutes' walk from the Stari Most in a quiet backstreet makes this guesthouse with apartments ideal for travelling groups of backpackers.

Four levels of apartments for doubles and groups of four to six are arranged around a central courtyard. The common landings make for sitting-out areas among the potted plants. Feed-yourself travellers can use the basic kitchenettes for food and drink preparation. No cookers, except in one apartment, means that budding Jamie Olivers can't show off to their mates. The lazy can tuck into a provided continental breakfast or wander out to various cafes. Top-floor rooms look down onto a Mostar sea of roofs with curly red tiles, while the ground-floor rooms suffer a bit of damp that may disappear in summer. There's parking for 10 cars and the friendly landlady speaks reasonable English.
