Lonely Planet review

These two buildings - the Court and the Tuscany - are a townhouse apart from each other on a (relatively) quiet, residential slice of Midtown. Both buildings sport the same stylish ultra-suave rooms - 198 in the Court, 144 in the Tuscany - and cater less to 'W' scenesters than trendy business travelers.Of the two, there's a little more life at the Court - home to Icon (a stylish American restaurant with a lovely garden, black tablecloths and red velvet seats - popular for weekend brunch) and the Wet Bar (a swank after-work bar without the velvet-rope hassle). Both naturally employ the same dressed-in-black staff. Rooms are ultra-modern with crimson curtains and thick headboards (unfortunately tackily branded with a 'W') behind the feather beds, welcoming red suede chairs by the window, walk-in closets (with safe) and boldly striped carpets. The 27in TVs aren't flatscreen (yet) but they do have DVD players (and access to a DVD library) and web TV access. Go for the 'Spectacular' rooms over the smallest ('Wonderful') for a bit more swingin' space - and a desk.
