Lonely Planet review

The eight rooms in this courtyard bed and breakfast vary wildly but have one thing in common: they are all great value. The name's a bit of a misnomer however, as the 'breakfast' consists of a coupon to purchase Russian bulochki (pastries) at the bakery across the street.Still, if you don't mind dispensing with standard hotel accoutrements like Internet access and lobby bars, you'll find that the size of most of the rooms - which are actually nicely renovated Soviet apartments - more than make up for the pathetic breakfast. Many have fully kitted-out kitchens so you can make your own damn breakfast, thank you very much. Design varies from room to room; one of the nicer two-room apartments has an African theme. All have attractive wooden floors. Be careful, however, as the two 'small apartments' really are small and lack kitchens. The 'medium' and 'large' apartments are a much better value. A couple even have washing machines! Infuriatingly, they charge a fee to park in the courtyard.
