One of Rio's best hotels, the Caesar Park has all the features you expect in a five-star hotel: impeccable service, a lavish restaurant, top-floor pool and fitness centre, as well as the excellently appointed rooms overlooking a grand stretch of Ipanema beach.Caesar Park breathes opulence - it's apparent from the moment you step inside the marble-encrusted lobby and hear the notes of a classical pianist playing in the corner. The rooftop pool and several restaurants inside the hotel are likewise spared no luxury. The rooms themselves are a good size, with dark woods and rich textures creating a warm cosy feel. Rooms also have artwork on the walls, flatscreen TVs and high-speed internet connections. Ocean views are available in the deluxe rooms, and it's worth the extra if you can swing it. The hotel also has its own beach security during the day. Owing to staff professionalism and all the amenities, it's a top choice for business travelers and well-heeled vacationers. Our only objection to the Caesar Park is the 'extras' that, while free at other luxury hotels, must be purchased here.

The house restaurant serves the city's best feijoada (a Cariocan cassoulet) every Saturday. Don't pass up this richly prepared Brazilian dish if you're staying here (or anywhere else in town for that matter).
