Lonely Planet review

Surrounded by ma and pa restaurants and dumpy shops, Hotel Lees is a hidden gem for travellers whose priorities are roaming the city and coming back to a clean, economical room. Wildly popular with Japanese budget travellers, many traditional sites like the Dongdaemun Market and Changgyeonggung palace are within walking distance. One of the best features of this likeable hotel is the competitive price structure for groups. A rarity in Seoul, the triple room comes with three single beds, which can mean a bargain deal for travelling trios. It's great value considering the private bath and downtown location, but don't expect to be mollycoddled with services and facilities; there aren't any. This is a proper tourist hotel designed for people on the move who only require clean sheets at the end of a busy day sightseeing. Double rooms are definitely on the small side; after filling the room with a TV, water cooler and vanity there's just enough space to drop your bag. The suite has enough free space to play Twister.
