A simple but charming hotel occupying an 18th-century abbot's house, the Giralda offers 14 light and elegant rooms with comfortable beds. Its location in the shadow of the cathedral couldn't be more central, and its prices are very reasonable considering the amenities on offer.

Now that we've got the compliments out of the way, let's get down to tin tacks. What were the owners thinking of when they included the letters YH in their hotel's name? Has no-one tried to convince them to change it? Countless potential guests are sure to have found the backpacker connotation off-putting and dismissed it out of hand, so missing out on staying in the hotel's charmingly decorated rooms with their marble floors, high wooden ceilings, comfortable beds and french windows onto the street. It's a damn shame.
