Shabby chic charm lurks in every corner of this family-owned hostel, which resembles an old-fashioned B&B inside and out. It's located on a quiet residential street, just blocks from the train and bus station.

This place has an all-round homey feel, which depending on your taste can seem either dated or cosy. Sheets and towels are provided, though hot water can be slow or intermittent. Rise and shine early, since the free continental breakfast ends at 09:00; don't stay out too late either - there's a midnight curfew. Usually a phone call will get the owner up to let you in late. Internet access is free, but can be painstakingly slow.
