Lonely Planet review

This early 17th-century building is literally full of nautical antiques, grandfather clocks, model ships and art. Most rooms are fairly small, but the museum-like suites are larger. There's also an apartment available for long-term rentals. The third in a chain of three hotels related to Admiral Lord Nelson, this one is named for his main ship. (The others are the Lady Hamilton and, surprise surprise, the Lord Nelson.) It's jammed with nautical memorabilia, as well as local and regional artwork both kitschy and classy. There's a sauna and meeting rooms downstairs in the vaulted cellars, where years ago excavations turned up a stash of silver coins and part of a medieval tower. The hotel's restaurant is the renowned Leijontornet, famed for its Italian specialities and extensive wine list.
