This Art Nouveau hotel, dating from 1911, has rooms in many different styles, all luxurious and some with excellent harbour views. Staff members are attentive and efficient, and the hotel's T/bar is a high-class hang-out, especially in summer, when you can sit on the terrace.

One of the most eye-catching buildings along central Stockholm's Nybroviken waterfront, the Diplomat is not only pretty but functional. It couldn't have a more prime location, whether you aim to shop 'til you drop, hit the clubs and nightspots, or just sit on your balcony and gaze out over the water. Some of the rooms have Jacuzzis and saunas. Even the single rooms are spacious and have large windows. The double rooms all have epic beds, and those with a utsikt (view) have lovely floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the harbour. The business suite has an office and separate bedroom. Most rooms include CD players, and reception keeps a library of music on hand.
