Address: No 63 sung chiang rd , Taipei 104, Taiwan Show on map
The elegant Italian design, attentive staff, and amenities such as dedicated fax numbers for each room are just some of the features that make this intimate 100-room hotel one of the best boutique/business hotels we've seen in Taipei. The Evergreen with its courteous and professional staff, and great facilities make for a comfortable stay in Taipei - whether you're on business or not. The special touches like plasma TVs with wireless Internet access, rooms with 110 and 220 voltage, deep Jacuzzis (in all but single rooms), and gold-leaf trim in the bathrooms, add to your experience here. There's decent workout facilities and good spas if you're feeling energetic… Conversely, there's also more than one eating option. We liked the fact that this hotel is quiet and soundproof, especially when off a busy road. In general we felt well provided for here, just mind and not drown in the hallway art (the nautical theme just didn't work for us!).

Head to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall in the evening for a world-class performance of music or theatre. Taipei Eye has bite-size offerings of traditional performing arts. Great for a palatable introduction to esoteric art forms like Chinese opera.
