Handsome rooms and sleek architecture make this an excellent choice. The ambience is grand but not stuffy, and this spot seems amenable to hosting families. If you're a jazz fan, one of Tokyo's best clubs, JZ Brat, is downstairs on the 2nd floor.

Sprawl out on huge beds and drink deeply of the views from these large windows, because there's space to breathe in these enormous rooms. One of the few lobbies in Tokyo that opens onto a garden view, the organic side is a nice complement to the sleek modern aesthetic of this place. Being the tallest tower in the vicinity, all of the rooms and restaurants offer excellent city views that sparkle with life at night, and the lobby itself gives the impression of being a rendezvous spot for those wishing to be seen. Mt Fuji is visible in the cooler seasons, when haze doesn't obscure the outlying regions. Corner doubles boast view bathtubs, with tubs long enough to stretch out travel-weary legs. If you really want to splash out, book one of the two spacious Japanese rooms with separate living and sleeping areas, and a traditional-style Japanese bath.
