When a place throws down 25 million US dollars on a renovation (bankrolled by Beanie Baby billionaire Ty Warner, no less), one expects perfection down to the detail, and that's just what the Biltmore delivers. With more proprietary and lavish elements than you can shake a swizzle stick at, the Biltmore is worth a visit.
Even if you don't stay here, stroll its 22 acres (which happen to be home to an impressive collection of rare botanica), sip a cocktail on the terrace or indulge in a spa treatment while overlooking the ocean. Guests are often of the honeymoon and anniversary variety (Room 703 boasts one of the few ocean view balconies) while the fantastically expensive detached cottages and suites attract celebs looking to hide out.
