Reopened in 2007, this stylish business hotel stands out for its bold brown-and-white color scheme, reasonable prices and extras like large Simmons beds. The Family Mart and Euro-modern cafe OAKS on the ground floor are additional conveniences.Slicker than your average business hotel and right between JR Ochanomizu and Akihabara stations, Mystays Ochanomizu is out of the action and very quiet at night. All rooms have Simmons mattresses, liquid-crystal TVs and free high-speed internet. The black and mahogany colour scheme is very contemporary. Dark hardwood desks furnish the neutrally toned, comfortable rooms. Taller guests will appreciate the presence of semi-double beds in the singles, providing extra legroom for restful sleeps. There's a decent pub-style cafe downstairs called OAKS that serves both Western and Japanese breakfasts. And for those late-night cravings, there's also a Family Mart convenience store just next to the lobby. Several of the attentive, helpful staff speak English. If you're planning an extended tour of the Akihabara electronics and anime district, Mystays is ideally located.
