Address: 1 harbour sq , Toronto M5J1A6, Canada Show on map
On the waterfront, this slick twin-tower complex houses nearly a thousand rooms, many of which boast breathtaking views of Lake Ontario. Business travellers may choose from a wide array of meeting rooms in their gigantic conference centre (70,000 sq ft/6500 sq m) adjoining the hotel via a glass walkway. The Westin is popular with families. Kids enjoy the generous indoor pool and whirlpool bath. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the outdoor tennis courts, basketball and squash courts and sauna. Even dogs are welcomed with a plush bed. The southern tower's Toula Restaurant and Bar has nice cushioned seats spread around the floor-to-ceiling windows, granting diners spectacular views of downtown. Service is a bit hit-and-miss, but they do offer a shuttle service to get you across the Gardiner Expressway that separates downtown from the lakeshore. They've provided guests with the infamous Westin "heavenly beds", in case you opt to stay in for the night instead and lounge around watching on-command movies.

Once you've done the Toula restaurant, you can give nearby Harbour Sixty Steakhouse a try. Venture north to get in some sightseeing - streetcars 509 and 510 will take you up to Union Station (it's best to avoid the treacherous walk beneath the highway). Two attractions worth visiting near the station are the Toronto Dominion Gallery of Inuit Art and the Hockey Hall of Fame.
