A massive white presence near the Saxon Gardens, this chain hotel is a reliable haven for business people and travellers wanting somewhere central. As you'd expect, it's clean and efficient.

The Sofitel Victoria is the very model of a modern business hotel, with a gleaming spacious marble foyer. Its lounge area is filled with light from the windows onto the square opposite, and it houses a small library of books on Polish culture and history. The rooms are neat and conservatively decorated in faultless good taste and most have a view over parks or courtyards. The bathrooms are small but gleaming with marble surfaces. The hotel offers a variety of facilities including a business centre, Internet access, a swimming pool, a sauna and a gym. The cheaper doubles are great value for the location.
