One of the most economical sleep options in the city, this hostel has every service that today's discriminating budget traveller requires, including free washing machine, free breakfast and free Internet.The Buddha once reminded us that expectations are a source of unhappiness. If travellers can suspend expectations about what a hostel looks like, they may indeed find contentment here. Ostensibly a three-bedroom apartment retrofitted with bunk beds, Blue Backpackers is a solid option for people travelling on the cheap in a city starved for low-budget accommodation. Although functional, with decent access to public transport, the frat-house character that typically defines the guesthouse experience is noticeably absent here. Character notwithstanding, it's got a laid back feel which works for travellers looking forward to a day of exploring or enlightenment.
