Despite the terrible name, the Jungle Party has the best atmosphere of all of Antigua's hostels. The staff know exactly what is needed by travellers, and go out of their way to give it up with a smile.

The dorms are nothing special (but are they ever?); it's the common areas that really make this place stand out. There are lots of little nooks to hang out and chat, as well as hammocks and tables set out in the courtyard and inside the building as well. The Jungle Party also puts on a whole range of backpacker-oriented activities, like the all-you-can-eat Saturday BBQ and nightly happy hours. The bar serves a near-bewildering range of cocktails and the friendly staff are full of tips about the local area and onward travel options.
