Spotless serenity rules this wood-panelled home and the staff rocks. La Tetera means 'the kettle' and you'll find no shortage of hot beverages and tasty morsels here. Conducive to coupling, rooms with private and shared bath are snug, well-insulated and well-appointed with indigenous touches.

While la nona is nowhere to be found, there's a grandmotherly flurry of chintzy florals and doilies. The house offers a range of tidy (and sometimes tiny) rooms with shared or private bath. An attractive backyard deck offers private refuge and one double room sports a balcony. Prices include breakfast, which many consider to be the best in town, with heaping portions of muesli, yoghurt and fruit, or toast and eggs with fresh brewed coffee.
