A decorous gem, central Prince George has all the details covered. The hotel is set up for business guests but is also a good choice for those travelling with kids - the outdoor areas and indoor pool offer respite from the city streets.
The Prince George and Lord Nelson hotels are quite similar in decor, reputation and location, but the Prince George is decidedly more formal. Staff are professional and politely attentive and the lobby has a more business-like vibe. What really makes this hotel stand out is its spacious outdoor brick patios. Take a drink, a meal or even work outside. The main patio leads to a tiny indoor pool that is illuminated with natural light that pours through an art-deco style floor-to-ceiling window. Ask for a room with a view of sea or of the Halifax Citadel Hill Historic Site.

Take Hwy 102 S to Exit 5.
Bear left onto Hwy 118 to Dartmouth.
Take Exit 4 to MacKay Bridge (toll).

Exit onto Barrington St.
After second set of lights, bear right.
Take ramp to continue south along Barrington St.
Turn right onto Prince St.
Continue to the top of the hill.
