Outdoorsy types, aspiring writers, or the simply exhausted will likely find rejuvenation and reprieve in the grand rustic setting that is Koke'e. Cabins are bare bones, but, man, what a setting.

Try thinking back to college dormitory days to imagine what a stay here will be like, then remove the luxury of heat and clear running water. This is the wilderness, but if you're cool with that, you'll love bunking up, getting cosy and resting your aching dogs from all the hiking trails. And yes, for Kaua'i, it's chilly, so pack up some firewood for the cabin's wood-burning stove. You'll also want to bring bottled water, mosquito repellent, a sleeping bag and even a tent to make the no-frills digs a little less rustic.
