Up the street from the railway station, this hidden guesthouse delights with clean, spacious rooms and a large dining area that doubles as a lounge. It's a smartly run Dutch and Mongolian venture that operates tours to the countryside, and has the usual amenities, including Internet access and a pick up/drop off service.

Where Tiara excels is in the quality of the building and rooms. It's in a brand new high-rise and the interior has been fitted with hard-wood floors and smart furniture, including wood bunk beds, new curtains and washing facilities. Rooms are not numbered; instead they are labelled with the names of cities, including Amsterdam, London, New York and Berlin, a gimmick that adds a little character to the place. Tiara is located in a quiet neighbourhood and surrounded by high rise apartments. Its about a 15-minute walk from the main shopping and business district. The guesthouse can be difficult to spot, even if you've already been here, as most of the surrounding buildings are designed in a similar manner. Have the management pick you up the first time you arrive and then carefully mark your bearings before wandering off.
