Louisa's is the kind of place that dazzles with class not glitz, a discrete deluxe hideaway perfect for people tired of anonymous big-city hotels. Few properties put more emphasis on customising guest services. They'll even send you a pre-arrival questionnaire asking for your likes and dislikes! Suites here are huge, the spa heavenly and the library regal.

We know of few hotels that put more emphasis on customising guest services. No (reasonable) need or wish goes unfulfilled here. Before your arrival you'll be sent a questionnaire asking for your likes, dislikes and special needs. If you wish to find your fridge stocked with Dom Perignon, need soy milk for breakfast or would like a private tour guide, consider it done. Suites range in size from 41 to 102 sq m and have modern kitchens big enough to roast entire turkeys. Those facing the Ku'damm are noisier but stay relatively cool even on hot days (there's no air-con, our only complaint). A DVD player, free DSL and wi-fi (fee) are all standard amenities. Far from standard is the downstairs library with gold-ornamented wood-panelling scavenged from a palace of French king Louis XV. The 'royal' theme continues in the big spa where you can splash in a pool backed by a mural of Sanssouci Palace.
