This new luxury hotel takes the cake in the compliment department these days. In 2007 both Conde Nast and Zagat named it Denver's best hotel. We agree: the place is pimp. Spacious digs come with high-thread count sheets, plump beds and marble bathrooms with top class soaps and shampoos.

In Denver's chicest suburb, upscale Cherry Creek, the JW Marriot delivers first class luxury at business class rates. The hotel is just two years old, but already is getting high marks for its excellent service and cheery rooms - think soothing yellows, bright reds and even palm plants! Although from the outside the huge stucco-and-glass building looks a little tacky, inside it feels like an old world European hotel. Here the ambiance is as intimate as the art is interesting. And plentiful. Local artwork and colourful blown glass pieces grace lobbies and rooms throughout the building. Our favourite part about the Marriot, however, isn't how modern swanky it is, but the fact that it is super pet friendly! Your dog can join the free pet perks program and be treated to a sheepskin bed and personalized (to his size and taste) biscuit upon check-in.
