Grand doesn't even begin to describe this immense 1850-built chateau, with its decadent on-site spa, stone-flagged heated swimming pool, free state-of-the-art fitness room, and, if you happen to be arriving by helicopter, its own helipad on the front lawns.

If you're splurging, why not go all the way and check into the 75 sq m suite with a vast terrace, or one of the two atmospheric round rooms in the chateau's turret, which all command top dollar, but are nothing short of sublime. Other options include the separate Residence, where around half the rooms have views of the chateau, and half vineyard views; and the townhouse-configured Maison du Vignoble. All rooms have classical decor such as striped and floral printed fabrics, and restrained furnishings. For an extra charge you'll get access to the hotel's jacuzzi and sauna; or you can book in for a beauty treatment in the decadent on-site salon.
