Behind the hotel's Victorian facade, this 1970-built hotel in the heart of the historic Chartrons wine merchants' district has been recently refurbished, with cool, calm decor throughout its 144 rooms.

The hotel's sheer size and chain-hotel ambience are amply compensated for with spacious and comfortable rooms with large, sparkling clean bathrooms. Amenities include trouser presses, satellite TV and wi-fi, making it a good bet for business travellers. In the centre of the building is a courtyard with a fountain almost big enough to swim in. Pets are welcome and there is parking on site. Breakfast (the full international works, including sausages and scrambled eggs) is available (for a fee, as is standard for France). yYu can also have it brought to your room.
