Staying in this luxurious 12-room hotel is like being a guest in a private, 16th-century Mallorcan mansion. The antique furniture, soaring ceilings and silk wall coverings are truly indulgent, while welcoming living spaces keep things from getting too stuffy.

Genteel rooms, which huddle around a cool patio garden, fit the mood perfectly with Mallorcan antique furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries, period artwork decorating the walls, and silk throws on the bed. If you can manage to tear yourself away from the room, you have your pick of places to visit, relax or curl up with a good book. The rooftop patio is ideal for evening drinks, while the cheerful long table in the antique (yet fully functional) kitchen is ideal for homemade cake and tea in the afternoon (which is complimentary for guests and served on lovely Villeroy & Bosch porcelain). When you want to unwind, head to the grand reading room or, even better, to the heated indoor swimming pool or sauna.
